Experimental Pieces

The first, second and fourth experimental pieces were done by acrylic pouring. The first piece is Triadic, the second piece is monochromatic and the fourth piece is analogous. For the third piece, I did a complementary color scheme, it was done by pouring acrylic medium on a  piece of plastic. Next drops of high flow were poured on the acrylic medium and left to dry. When dried, the board was covered in gesso and then glued the dried piece on the board.

Miki Matsubara

For the third value piece, I decided to step outside my comfort zone and used acrylic paint to make a realistic piece. I painted a Japanese singer from the 80's, Miki Matsubara. I decided to paint her because of her music being influential for a new genre of music I listen to.

Bitten Rose

For the second value piece, I used a scratchboard and started doing the basic design of the mouth and the rose. Later on, I did smaller details to make the design complete.
